Shaft Clamping Elements
Shaft clamping elements connect hubs solidly to shafts using a keyless mechanical interference fit. They are used to replace conventional fastening methods such as welding, splines, keyways and taperlock bushes and therefore are used on such items as pulleys, gears and sprockets. They are easy and quick to remove without damaging the shaft or hub and eliminate cost of machining keyways or splines which also reduces stress on the shaft.
